Human values as a link between companies and people

The Sustainable Leadership Platform was created in June 2011 with the goal to inspire, connect and educate new leaders for sustainability. It was born with the release of the book Conversations with Sustainable Leaders by Ricardo Voltolini, based on the idea of spreading the inspiring stories of 10 leaders enshrined in theme – Fábio Barbosa (Grupo Abril SA), Guilherme Leal (Natura), Franklin Feder (Alcoa) Jose Luciano Penido (Fibria), Luiz Ernesto Gemignani (Promon), Paul Nigro (Tetra Pak), Héctor Núñez (Ri Happy), José Luiz Alquéres (ex-Light), Kees Kruythoff (Unilever) and Miguel Krigsner (Grupo Boticário).

In its first year of existence, the program took its message to more than three million people in Brazil and in countries like Canada, France, Madrid and Portugal. With meetings held in major capitals, it assisted approximately 21 000 business leaders. Its videos have been seen by 100 million people. And the virtual content – comprised of studies, surveys, opinion articles and videos – has received an average of 25,000 visits per month.

On 14th August, 2012, ten other leaders joined the movement starting the educational phase. They shared their stories about how they are involving and educating leaders for sustainability. They are: Britaldo Soares (AES Brasil), Andrea Alvares (Pepsico), Rodrigo Kede (IBM), Oscar Clarke (HP), Marcelo Lyra (Braskem), Eduardo Leduc (BASF), Marise Barroso (Masisa), Luiz Barreto (Sebrae) and Alessandro Carlucci (Natura).
